Around 30,000 people of Austrian origin live in Argentina — the German-speaking colony in Buenos Aires' Belgrano neighbourhood dates to the 19th century. Tango connects the two capitals: the TU Wien has hosted an Argentine tango society since 2015, and Argentine Tango is UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2009.
